| This would have been much more dramatic if I took a before picture! |
So anyways after making list after list of projects I want to do, I decided to start rather simple. I organized our walk-in closet! YES! After 2 years of stacking clean clothes on the floor, or worse on the dog crate, I decided a enough is enough! I couldn't find a thing, I hated actually folding the clean clothes to know they just end up on the floor anyway! So there I begin. Now just quitting my job and living off one income doesn't leave us with a whole lot of extra money so this was a make do with what I had for the most part. I looked on Pinterest, and that just left me longing for nice wood build in organizers, so I channeled my inner frugalness and got started.

I decided I could make it all work if I just had 2 more wire shelves and a couple hooks. So off to Lowes I went, 36 dollars later I had my gear and got started. We have a lack of dresser space (which is also a different story, I will explain more when I post about redoing the master bedroom.) so I just wanted to make shelves to put clean clothes away, organized and where we could see what we had!. I started by taking everything out of the closet, piled all the clothes on the guest bed and hung my shelves. Now, I consider myself pretty handy, however I must have been tired or something because the first shelf I hung I only measured across and not up from the bottom. I only realized this after I drilled all 7 holes in the wall.....so I re-measured and BAM, first shelf in. Second shelf I made sure to dot my I's and cross my T's. and that was done! I wasn't too worried about the extra holes in the wall because we have yet to paint or patch any other holes in the master yet and plus with the clothes put away you cannot see them. My husband might see it a little different then I do though! But either way I did it, Yes! my closet is beautiful now and most importantly functional!
